Karen Feinman, Director

     As an elementary school teacher Karen was frustrated by the number of children

who passed through her classroom each year unable to reach their full potential

because of one thing, low self-esteem. So in 2003, she started Esteemed Kids

out of her desire to help children identify and develop their own unique gifts. 

Through a variety of creative and playful programs she encourages and inspires

kids to tap into their own inner wisdom.

     Karen has a BA in education from San Diego State University and a teaching

credential for grades K-12.  Since 1986 she has taught a variety of different

grades for Oceanside Unified and has been a reading tutor and GATE instructor

for Carlsbad Unified School District.  In addition, she has worked for Literature

Comes To Life presenting story theater and teacher trainings.  She also served

as a girl scout troop leader for seven years.

     Her hope for the future is that someday all children will have the confidence

and strength to follow their own unique path that leads them to realizing their

fullest potential.
